A. Adrian Andrew

September 8, 1945 — December 15, 2022

Adrian was born near Coronach SK and died in Victoria BC. He is pre-deceased by his brother, Geoff, mother Anne n. Plyme, and father, Albert. He is survived by his loving wife, Devon, step-daughters, Tressa Brotsky (Matt) and Amie McColl (Bryan), son, Quin Andrew (Paula), grandchildren, Raidon, June, Cas, Iris and Eden, and many nieces and nephews, some of the grand-sort too.

Adrian’s long and ambitious career began as a bank manager before finding his true calling and passion: Sales and Marketing. He worked forty-odd years as General Sales Manager in print and broadcasting media (CJIB Vernon, CJVI Victoria, CKDA Victoria, and Monday Magazine Victoria being four where life-long friendships were forged), and twenty-odd years providing custom project management, digital marketing services, and rebranding to a number of local businesses. He worked for and with Esquimalt and Victoria Chamber of Commerces, was Director and President of Sales & Marketing Executives International - Victoria Branch, Director for the BC Restaurant Association and The Belfry Theatre among others, and Director of Communications for United Way of Greater Victoria for over three decades.

Adrian was a respected motivational speaker and educator, creator and facilitator of personalized sales and marketing courses, and offered seminars for many Island-based businesses of all sizes. In semi-retirement, Adrian worked with Lallicare Pharmacy, as Residential Manager for Harbour Shores Apartments, and recorded a number of inspiring training videos with since-closed SoftCorp Inc; he was a dynamic man who lived to help others succeed. Full of life, a hockey fan, trivia buff, avid golfer and loving husband, Adrian was a true fisherman who loved the ocean and the art of the catch. His wit, humor, wisdom and stories are the stuff that will be remembered by many.

At Adrian’s request there will be no formal service. Instead, friends and colleagues are invited to ‘get together with him for coffee, one last time’.
