Andrew Fettig-Winn

Andrew Fettig-Winn, wine connoisseur, Ian Rankin enthusiast and long-time supporter of Murchies coffee and Munros books, died peacefully at home on October 31st after a gracious and patient trial with myotonic dystrophy. Well-read and able to talk on any subject, Andrew took every opportunity to share his historical and scientific knowledge. He enjoyed well-prepared non-vegetarian meals ranging from ris de veau and duck confit to the eternal quarter-pounder with cheese. He despised tofu, George Double-Ya Bush, and rising any time before noon. Andrew lived life on his own terms, and was a firm believer in frankness and the inexhaustibility of his stockpile of catchphrases. Andrew will be truly missed by his wife, Fran, daughter, Zoe and sister, Kathy and Mary. They would like to thank Dr. Elizabeth Grant for her compassion and support. There will be a celebration of life held at Olympic View Golf Course on November 16th from 1-3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice.
