Anne Heath

Anne passed away peacefully, with daughter Candis and son-in-law Finn by her side, after suffering a stroke. Anne was predeceased by her husband Larry in 2004, her parents Adam and Levina, and 7 of her 10 siblings. She is survived by her only child Candis, her youngest brothers Butch, Lyle and David, and has many nieces and nephews in both Canada and the US. Mom was born in Regina, grew up in Zehner and Regina, and married Larry in 1944 while he was serving in the Navy in WWII. Candis was born in 1945, and the family moved to Victoria in 1952. Mom always missed the prairies and had warm memories of home, especially during the last few years, but loved Victoria for its weather. Anne and Larry had many good friends, with whom they loved to play cards, visit, and laugh a lot; sadly, most of them are also gone. Anne was cremated after a private service, and was remembered at Broadmead Lodge on January 9, 2015, where she had spent her last 2 years in care, having been diagnosed with dementia, and Candis and Finn are grateful for the loving care and attention that she was given by the staff in Lodge A2.
