Aubrey Clare Eichel

My best friend and husband, Aubrey, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 after a long struggle with cancer. Aubrey was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan and moved to Victoria in ’89 where he became a devoted ‘west-coaster’. Golfing, sailing (RVYC), travelling and good friends were some of his favourite things. He is survived by his wife, Debra Woods, Sister-in-law, Margaret Eichel, and nieces and nephews: Ron Eichel, Rhonda Eichel (Mike), Meghan MacLeod, Ian MacLeod (Aidy) as well as Jim, Bob, Michael and Bill Ross of Regina. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Ronald and Janet Eichel, as well as brother Keith Eichel and sisters, Mae Ross, Donna MacLeod and Ruth Eichel. A man of high principles and deep thoughts, Aubrey will be sorely missed by friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
