Bernard Joseph Sargent

Bernard was a Husband, Dad and Grandad. Above all, he was a thoughtful and kind Manchester City fan, with a great sense of humour. He loved dancing, swimming, rowing and darts. As well as, smart clothes, good food, bright colours, animals and asking questions.
He was in the RAF in his younger years in England, which qualified him for his much loved membership to the Royal Canadian Legion.
He loved and was loved by many.
We`d like to thank all of Bernard`s caregivers for their help and attention. Thanks especially to Lesley, who was incredibly supportive during Bernard`s struggle.
To my loving husband of 42 years,
God saw you getting tired

You suffered much in silence
Your spirit did not bend
You faced your pain with courage

You tried so hard to stay with us
Your fight was all in vain
God took you in his loving arms
And saved you from the pain
We never lose the ones we love
For even when they`re gone
Within the hearts of those who care
Their memory lingers on.
