Beverley Thies

After a brief battle with cancer, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Beverley on November 26, 2012 at home in the loving care of husband, Darryl Stephens, and her daughters, Jenifir and Mariah-Jane. She was predeceased by her husband John Thies and parents Charles and Dorrien Kirkwood-Hackett and will be greatly missed by her son-in-law David and grandchildren, Stuart, Bronwyn, Aidan, and Graeme. Born in Peterborough, England, Beverley was renown for creating a bit of her homeland in her glorious garden. Her passion for sewing forged relationships and will long be remembered by those who benefited by her handiwork. Beverleys thoughtful conversation and beautiful home has long been appreciated by the many who experienced her hospitality. A service in celebration and memory of her life will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 1611 Quadra Street on January 12, 2013 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestras 'John and Beverley Thies Memorial Scholarship' would be gratefully appreciated.
