Brent Charles Mcneil

d. January 31, 2016

God blessed Brent with a kind heart and gentle soul. He was a sensitive man, a peacemaker, genuinely interested in the needs of others. A helper, always willing to lend a hand and work hard. He had a love of life and often said "go for it……", a bit of a dare devil to most of us. His favorite place was out in nature, particularly the beauty of the West Coast mountains and ocean. He fished or crabbed often with his brother Scotty or friend Brady in victoria. He was Scotty's 1st mate on the boat "Sanctuary". He was very artistic, creative and athletic, with an appreciation for street art and indigenous works of art. He was a talented woodworker and upcycler. He was a natural on skis and amazed those around him with his talent. Brent was a patient and encouraging uncle full of adventure. He was full of humour and ingenious ideas, including science projects and motorized rafts. Brent had moments of suffering during his life but he lived in such a way that he touched so many people in a positive way. He had an extraordinary love that he gave his family and friends and we will all greatly miss him. He is survived by his mom Sandra (Pat), his father Len (Helena), brother Scotty, sister Kelly (Phil) niece Grace, nephew Nicholas and great grandfather Earl and many aunts uncles and cousins Jesus for the Joy - Endured the cross! Fix your eyes on Him, Don't grow weary! Know that everlasting life Conquers death. There will be a celebration of life service on Wednesday, February 17th at Finlayson Point across from Beacon Hill Park (Victoria BC) at 11:00 AM.
