Cameron Declan Walsh

March 16, 1997 — March 20, 2022

Cameron passed away on Sunday 20 th March, just 4 days after his 25 th birthday. Cameron had just started a new job which he was excited about and enjoying, he had plans to visit family in Miami later in the year, he was in a good place and life was looking up, which makes his loss all the more unbelievable.

Cameron was an amazing person, with a smile that made the world a brighter place. He was never afraid to show his incredible love for his family and friends; quick to forgive, with a loyalty that knew no bounds. Every life he touched was better for that contact, he hugged you with genuine warmth and that action said more than words. You knew you were loved, cared for, protected and that no matter what, he was there for you. His voice so deep and loud, I hear it now; his laugh so infectious, you couldn’t help but smile and laugh with him, even when you didn’t feel like it.

There are no words that will convey the hole his loss has created in our lives, he leaves us, his parents, Maurice and Lorraine, his brother, Brandon, and sisters, Sinéad, Rachel and Elora, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and many friends with fond memories, though sharp and painful now, in time they will comfort. Please share these memories with us and each other and know that Cameron only wanted good things for you all.

Cameron, you will always be with us, in every thought, of every day.

A church service will be held on Saturday, April 9 th at 2pm in Mill Bay. Flowers are welcome, however, it is preferred that donations be made in Cameron’s name to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. While Cameron didn’t have mental illness, many young people do, especially over the past few years of isolation, and his sister is studying psychology, so it seems appropriate.
