It is with great sadness that the family of Carol-Jean Elizabeth Davis announces her passing on 25 March, 2018, at 84, after a difficult struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Carol's diverse career saw her starting her working life on stage in London, England and finishing it with her own business, Pacific Conference Group, in Vancouver. In between she tried everything from Radio Host to Travel Agent to Librarian.
She also loved to sing. She would burst into song at a moment's notice, especially if someone mentioned "On Ilkley Moor Bar T'at".
Carol was an active volunteer in the many communities where she lived. Most recently she volunteered at Government House, and at the BC Museum, until she was no longer able to because of her disease.
Carol was born Aug 18, 1933 in Ossett, Yorkshire to Stanley and Irene McNaught-Davis. She married Norman Davis Maj. RCAF, (ret'd) of Nelson, BC in 1955 at Wakefield Cathedral, and spent the rest of her life traveling with him and relocating their home many times at the pleasure of the Air Force (19 moves). She is survived by Norm; their two sons Gary (Nancy), and Mark (Barbara); and two grandchildren Cameron (Libby), and Alistair (Britt).
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
