Carol Lois Martin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Lois Martin (Smith). Carol passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of January 10, 2017 at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 79. Carol is survived and lovingly remembered by her siblings Tom (Terry), Denis (Joyce), Christine (Trevor), Sam (Rick) and her sons Andy (Laurie), Greg (Shirley-Anne), Kevin (Sharon) and Brian (Kerry). Gramma to Georgia, Jonah, Avril, Shayla and Landon, and an aunt to ten children of her siblings who will all miss her dearly. She also had many ex in-law family members for whom she cared deeply, having cultivated relationships over a long span of time. No doubt Carol has a special place in her heart for all of her family and close friends, including Sandy. Carol is predeceased by parents Harry and Helen Smith of Banff, AB. In keeping with Carol's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. We would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Victoria General for their compassionate care throughout Carol's illness.
