Step-children, Myron, Carmen, Paul, & Bill Kent; grandchildren, Popi, Christian, Kajsa, Leon, Rachel, Kamala, Leyla, Sara and several well-loved great-grandchildren; and many loving friends. Carolyn studied music, playing violin and piano throughout her life; contributing her considerable talent to symphonies in Ontario and B.C.; to quintets, quartets and choirs well into her seventies. She loved many genres of music opera, classical, jazz, and enjoyed dancing to Swing & Big Band and jiving to rock with husband, Boris. Carolyn was adventurous and an outdoor enthusiast. She camped in many national parks throughout Canada & the U.S. with many members of her family. She continued her travels & hiking until her health curtailed the more strenuous activities. Butchart Gardens was a favoured place at all seasons, and walking was her constant past-time. Family was a top priority for Carolyn and she was instrumental in organizing many get-togethers with her grandchildren for dinners, camping, picnics, theatre, and musical events. She continued to travel to visit family members until she was in her eightieth year a redoubtable woman. An out-going personality, Carolyn met and be-friended people everywhere she went, and generously went out of her way to assist them if she could. She was a proud supporter of the Sierra Club and was conscientiously dedicated to caring for the earth as her legacy to her grand and great-grandchildren. Carolyn lived life to the fullest and inspired many with her curiosity, friendliness, and enthusiasm. She will be missed.
