Christopher Lawrence Jacob Lenius

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Chris, Feb 28,2020, in Victoria, B.C. in the arms of his family and dear friend Paula after a very short, unexpected and courageous battle with cancer. Chris leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 41 years, Denise. He was a loving dad to daughter Lisa (James), son Christopher (Amy) and "Papa" to two beautiful grandsons Maverick and Corbin who he absolutely adored, mother in law Bernice, sister in law Sandra (John), niece Jenna (Dave), nephew Brandon and great nephews and a great niece as well as many faithful long time friends. Chris was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Aug 14/53 to Martha and Larry. The family moved to Victoria B.C. when he was 13 years of age. After graduating from Belmont High School Chris travelled across Canada with Bruce and frequently spoke of these fond good old memories. Chris chose the electrical field and spent 45 years as a Master Electrician which he thoroughly enjoyed, last working for Dave @ Baldy Electric up until January. Chris was an extremely kind, hard working, intelligent and passionate soul with a very inquisitive mind. He had many hobbies some of which included building, "gardening", photography, stained glass work, rock hunting, science fiction and raising his dogs Harley, Eb, Blue ,Bear and his favourite Cody. Chris had many fond memories about his Harley Davidson motorcycle he loved to ride and continued to talk a purchasing a new bike up until January. Chris was a devoted , generous thoughtful and kind family man and was very giving of his time and talents to both family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr Michael Putland, Hospice PRT and Community Nursing for their incredible care of Chris. Words are not enough for your kindness and support. A Celebration of Life will be held at Gorge Vale Golf Course, 1005 Craigflower Road, Victoria BC March 14/20 at 10 to 2 pm.
