Dion, Clement Paul
August 16, 1958 - May 5, 2020 With tremendous sadness, we announce the passing of Clement Paul Dion. He was born and raised in Victoria, BC and preceded by parents, Yvonne and Eugene Dion. He was a loving husband to Linda of 36 years, a father to Nicole (Jesse) and Samantha, a grandfather to Kelsey, a brother to Lorraine, Dorreen, Rosemaire & David (Lorrinda); plus many nieces, nephews, and friends. He spent the majority of his life working for Construction Aggregates and was a red seal millwright.
On January 2019 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He spent every day after fighting his hardest, but sadly lost the battle on May 5, 2020 while in Victoria Hospice. There are so many things that he will be remembered for. He will be remembered for the beautiful home he built for his family, the treefort he made for his daughters, the "tent cities" he created while camping, the blankets and chips he protected at the beach, and so much more. His favourite hobbies were buying, selling, and trading used goods or trying his luck out at the Casino. Game nights with friends always had him laughing and trying out cheeky, mischievous moves. He was a sore loser and an even sorer winner, but in the most humorous way. I will never forget the arguments we had at times, you could be a very cranky bear - hence the family quote "don't poke the bear!", but even then I never questioned how much you loved us. I can still hear your goofy singing around the house, like a seagull calling out in immense joy or your random expressions of happiness as if you were auditioning your sound effects for AFV. You impacted so many lives, whether it was fixing your neighbours clothes line, teaching a friend how to drywall, or offering your assistance to anyone who needed it. You are loved deeply and will be dearly missed every single day. You will be forever in our hearts. A celebration of life will be announced when it is safe to bring everyone together.
