BUTLER, Craig George Passed away on the 13th of August, 2021 at the age of 73 years.
Survived by his wife of 42 years, Barb Marriott; his daughter, from his first marriage, Sarah (Ben), his children with Barb, Amanda (Craig), Marylou (Jemuel) and Sam (Kyla), his seven grandchildren (Ayden, Ava, Margaux, Jude, Eli, Helena and Florence) and his sisters Frances (Ross) and Evelyn.
Craig was born in Victoria and was a true member of its community. He started the first recycling project in Victoria out of his garage in 1971, worked for years at the Cool Aid Society and he and Barb owned & ran the Birdcage Confectionery in James Bay (the smallest and oldest grocery store in Victoria) from 1984 until 2016. He was an umpire with Beacon Hill little league until he was disabled by strokes in 2000.
