David Carlo Carere

David Carlo Carere June 9, 1925 - August 29, 2015 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Papa Carere. David passed away peacefully at 90 years of age with his loving wife of 65 years Willy at his side. Dad leaves his children, Michael, Robert, Billy and Cookie, and their spouses Deb, Barbara, Rose and Jim. Grandchildren Dustin, Marina, Carlo, Matt, Meisha, Denver, Ali, Alix, Maria and Sam, and great grandchildren Byron, Katie, Lia Bella, Emma, Thomas, Georgia Rose, and Isaac. Papa was a warm, one of a kind gentle giant, with a wonderful sense of humour, a great sense of adventure and the ability to laugh in the face of adversity. He was a true role model for the whole family, and we always felt safe when Papa was around. A family man to his core, he was always protective and incredibly proud of his clan. He loved to share his passions, interests, and the stories of the adventures that made up his wonderful life. His family wishes to thank everyone at Luther Court for always going the extra mile with their kindness and respect toward David, and for supporting his family throughout the difficult journey of Alzheimer's Disease. There will be no formal memorial for David. Our family would ask you to share your Dave stories in recognition of this exceptional man.
