David (Dave, Davey) John Lynch
Beloved son of Desmond & Christine (nee Rhatigan) and brother to Michael, Andrew & Mark passed away on the 30th May 2020 in Victoria, BC. David will be deeply missed by all his family, his partner Tammy & stepson Darius, aunts, uncles & cousins and all his many friends. David was born in Ireland and spent his first 10 years there, before moving to Canada with his parents and brother, Michael. Being the first born and only grandchild, he was much adored by both sets of grandparents (Michael & Angela Lynch, Bernard & Maureen Rhatigan) and his many aunts and uncles. He loved being a big brother to Michael, Andrew & Mark and they each have stories of their various adventures together. In his youth David was an enthusiastic athlete, participating in many sports, including rugby, soccer, football, golf, swimming and competitive diving in which he represented Ontario. While living in Ontario he enjoyed learning and participating in winter sports, including skating, skiIng and snowboarding and later spent time pursuing these winter sports in whistler. David always had a smile or cheeky grin on his face and liked to look on the bright side of things. He had a friendly outgoing personality and sense of humour and enjoyed socializing and having a laugh with everyone he met. David had a great love for Ireland and as an adult spent 5 years living in one of his favourite spots, Strandhill, in County Sligo. Where he got to spend time with extended family and made lots of new friends. There he enjoyed surfing, walking the beautiful beaches and meeting with friends at the local pubs. While living there, he very proudly completed the very challenging Warriors Run. He had a gentle & kind nature and over the years developed a great passion for music, art, poetry and writing. He further pursued his interest and education in the music Industry while living in Vancouver. His love for music was varied and eclectic and may he continue to pursue this in his Forever Home in the sky. As a family, we are heartbroken with the loss of our beloved son and brother David. David, we love you now and forever and you will always live on in our hearts. Until we meet again Rest In Peace in your Forever Home. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. David' special Poem : ‘Your Light is Seen' 'Your light is seen. Your heart is known. Your soul is cherished by more people than you can imagine. If you knew how many others have been touched in wonderful ways by you, you would be astonished. If you knew how many people feel so much for you, you would be shocked. You are far more wonderful than you think you are. Rest with that. Rest easy with that. Breath again. Your are doing fine. More than fine. Better than fine. You'r doing great. So relax. And love yourself today.'
