Dawn Louise Gardiner

On August 31, 1952, the world welcomed Dawn Louise Gardiner (Mitton), a beacon of joy, laughter, and generosity. On March 2, 2024, we bid farewell to a beloved wife, aunt, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Dawn's life was a tapestry of love, woven with a bright smile and an infectious laugh. For 45 years, she shared a remarkable journey of love and commitment with her devoted husband, Ken. Together, they raised a beautiful family: their sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jodi, Todd and Dara, Matthew and Elisha, and her grandchildren, Michaela, Ashley, Theron, and Louise, as well as her great-grandchildren, Delilah and Emmett.

A true Matriarch, she always found happiness in her family. Some of her fondest memories were camping with her two eldest grandchildren, Ashley and Michaela. These moments embodied the joy she found in family bonds.

Dawn had an extraordinary ability to connect with people, creating a welcoming space for all who crossed her path. Her laughter was infectious, matched by her unique talent for finding humour in everyday moments.

Dawn’s spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. May she rest in peace, leaving behind memories that will forever illuminate the lives of those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
