Deborah Chow

January 3, 2015 — May 3, 1955

Its with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of an incredibly strong and beautiful woman Deborah Lindsay Chow. This angel came to earth on May 3rd 1955 in the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria and after a long and courageous battle with Cancer surrounded by her loved ones, with a chiming bell and a special song playing, she spread her wings to start a new journey the morning of January 3rd, 2015 at the age of 59, in the same hospital to which she was born. The greatest joy of Debbies life was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Debbie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her friends and family and entertaining in her outdoor gazebo in the Summer time. She took great pleasure in caring for her beautiful garden and watching her birds while curled up on her window seat. As a Gramma, Debbie took amazing pride in cheering on her grandsons at the football games and her granddaughters at the ballet recitals Throughout the years Debbie and Wayne had many amazing experiences on the road together, they took their dream trip to Europe, cruised to Alaska and went road tripping throughout BC, Alberta, Washington and Oregon on their motorbike Winnie. In September 2013, another wish was checked off her list with a family trip to Disneyland and then an adventure filled trip to Tofino this fall. Nothing stopped this confident, brave and tenacious woman. She lived every moment to its fullest with amazing positivity and courage to her very last breath. She has left us all with wonderful memories that will stay with us forever. And she will always be in our hearts. Debbie was cherished by her husband and soul mate Wayne Chow, dearly loved by her children Jennifer (Kelli) and Daniel (Melissa), son in-law Kelsey and adored by her grandchildren, Nolan, Karson, Tyson, Jason, Nevaeh and Aliyah. She is survived by her father Bob Young, mother Sylvia Beardall, brother Laurie (Lorraine) and Aunt Lindsay (Frank) as well as many other wonderful friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her dear brother Jim and much loved sister Esther.
