Diane TRUEMAN IUS

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of a beautiful Mom, Wife, Grammy, and dear friend to so many: Diane Trueman Ius. Diane suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, while doing what she loved, travelling the world, on October 2, 2025, at just 67 years old.

Diane was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Paul McArthur and Marion Claire Williams, on February 16, 1958. After graduation, Diane travelled across Canada and fell in love with Vancouver, BC, where she ultimately settled.

Diane is predeceased by her father, Paul McArthur, and mother, Marion Claire Williams. She leaves behind her two children, Spencer Trueman (Megan), Amanda Russell (Don), grandchildren, Claire Russell, and Hailey Russell, her husband of 24-years, Michael Ius, fur-baby, Stella, two step sons, Duncan Ius (Susan), Cameron Ius (Rebecca), grandchild, Riley Ius, and brother, Brent McArthur (Elaine).

In 1978, Diane pursued the career in which she had a passion for, travel. In 1992, Diane started her own, very successful travel agency, Access Advantage Travel, located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. In 2014, Diane sold her agency, but continued on as an independent travel agent, while her and her husband started their next adventure. In 2015, they moved to Sooke, British Columbia, to an acreage with a hobby farm. This new adventure involved running another business, a very successful bed and breakfast.

Diane was a perfect Mother, Grammy, Wife, and person. Diane was so loving, kind, caring, generous, beautiful, self-driven, independent, intelligent, and resilient - her presence will be deeply missed forever. Diane loved travelling the World, RVing, e-biking, happy hour, and volunteering, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Diane will forever be in her family and friends hearts. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may make donations to your local Humane Society or Food Bank.

A celebration of life to honour Diane's life will be held on April 18, 2026, at happy hour.
