Dianne Judith Murray, 68, of Langford, BC passed away suddenly but peacefully on October 3, 2021 in her home in Langford. Dianne was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Peter and Julia Turlock on March 6, 1953. She went to high school at Archbishop O’Leary and graduated in 1971. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Justice and Leadership Training from Royal Roads University in 2004. She started at William Head Institution in 1987 as a clerk, then became a Correctional Officer and settled as an Institutional Parole Officer before retiring in 2013. She loved reading, petit-pointe, cooking and baking. Most of her recent time was devoted to her sweet little dog Angel whom she snuggled on the couch with watching movies. She was know for her sarcastic wit and incredible sense of humor. Dianne is survived by her life companion Andrew Murray, her son James Murray (Maureen) of Cowichan Bay, her daughter Amanda Murray of Vancouver, her brother Don Turlock (Mia), Bob Turlock of Las Vegas, her father Peter Turlock of Duncan, her granddaughter Autumn Mae Clark of Sooke and her nieces Patricia, Natasha, Tina, Amy, Jody, Jaqueline, Ashley and Russet and her nephews Randall and Robert. She is preceded in death by her mother Julia Turlock. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (heartandstroke.ca) and The Indian Residential School Survivor Society (irsss.ca) The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Earth’s Option Funeral and Cremation for their services and to everyone who held a place in their hearts for Dianne.
