Donald Herbert 'Dode' French

Known to most simply as "Dode" Creative to the end. Lover of dogs, gardening, nature, automobiles, and life itself. World traveler who had beat cancer. Proud of his family history and the establishment of French Beach Provincial Park. Always in pursuit of knowledge and the next great adventure. Dode could mesmerize you while engaging in brilliant conversation on most any topic.
He was preceded in death by his eldest son Martin James and is survived by sons Brad, John W. and daughter Becki. His legacy includes 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, the aforementioned all residing stateside. Dode is also survived by elder brothers Fred (Yvonna), Leonard (Bud), sister Terry Harrrison, and nephew Kenton French and family all living on the Island. May the perpetual light shine upon him. May all the departed rest in peace.
