Donald Brian Grant

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Brian Grant on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.  Brian passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  An accomplished geologist and business executive, Brian was deeply passionate about geology and mining.  Brian served as a board member on various companies, as well as holding key executive roles in private and public companies, including president and chief executive officer.  He mastered his profession over many years, loving his work and making many great friends over his nearly 50-year career.  Brian lived, worked, and travelled internationally, but called the west coast home and always returned there.  Brian fought his ailments with courage and determination later in life, and will be greatly missed by many friends and family.  He will be lovingly remembered by his immediate family, Marilyn, Shileen, Paul, and Andrew, and by his extended family, including his sister Patsy, and his niece and nephew, Kelly and Dane.  In accordance with Brian's wishes a private celebration of life will be held in the new year. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
