In Loving Memory of Donald Charles Nil’s McNabb

Donald Charles Nil’s McNabb, also known as Donny and Don Don.

He was born on April 7, 2001 and passed away on April 17, 2026 at the age of 25.

Donny was a gentle giant with a kind heart and a quiet strength that touched the lives of those around him. He was deeply intelligent and thoughtful, with a sensitivity that made him care deeply for others, even while facing his own struggles. He battled with depression for a long time those challenges reflected the weight he carried inside. Though his life was far too short, it was also filled with connection, compassion, and meaning.

He loved video games, growing up his favourite was Zelda. Donny found joy and community in games. Through gaming he built friendships with people from all over, many of whom we are only now learning about. It’s a powerful reminder of how far his kindness reached and how many lives he touched in ways we didn’t always see. We warmly invite his friends and anyone who knew him to share their memories and stories as they are a meaningful part of his life and legacy.

Donny had a special bond with animals, especially the cats in his life. For one of Donny’s birthdays he got to pick a kitten and he found Tigra, she held a special place in his heart. He shared a home full of love with Tigra, Kaos, Luna and Kit Kat. These companions reflected his gentle and caring nature.

Donny was part of a family connected not only by love but by name and legacy. He shared his name with his late father and grandfather, we find comfort in imagining them reunited and together again.

He is remembered for his kindness, his intelligence, and the love he gave so freely. Though he struggled, he was never defined solely by those struggles, he was so much more. He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a friend to many and someone who mattered deeply.

* A funeral service will be held on May 4, 2026 at Royal Oak Burial Grounds. A service will take place at the cathedral from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

* A memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026 at the Langford Legion. Time to be decided. Open invitation for all of Donny’s friends and family to gather in his memory.

Donny will be missed beyond words and remembered always.
