Doreen Betty Gallagher

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doreen Betty Gallagher (Born Liverpool England nee Davey on July 7, 1930 - Died Victoria BC on November 1, 2017). Doreen is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 64 years, Charles and her children Paula and Andrew.
Doreen passed away at the Jubilee Hospital Hospice surrounded by loved ones after a long illness.
Doreen lead a busy life raising two children, maintaining a home and working in the Victoria fashion retail industry where she was especially popular with visitors who benefitted from her exquisite taste when helping them select clothing, jewelry and accessories. She was known fondly by all who met her in the workplace as "the little English lady" and tourists, who had visited before or had heard of her by reputation, often asked for her using that affectionate phrase. A pint- sized dynamo who rose with the sun and who bedded down late, never sitting down in- between, Doreen infused humour and fun into everything she did. Now that she has left us, the bubbles in the Champagne have gone flat and the giggles have left the party. Doreen, you will be sorely missed.

We were well supported and surrounded by your caring and respect as we struggled with losing such a beloved family member.
