Dorothy Huth

On August 01, 2012, Dorothy Huth passed away in Victoria General Hospital at the age of 88 years after an extended illness. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Robin; children: Campbell (Marianne), Jim (Rae-Anne) and Nancy (Lance) Langford; grandchildren: Jim, Shaun, Cathy, Athena, Jelina, Amber, Chantelle, Forest, Michelle, Glen and Paul; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Jocelyn (George) Laking and Faye Young; cousins Joan and Jerry Hawley; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Dorothy was pre-deceased by her parents, brother Campbell Young, sisters Joan Couchman and Jean Young, and daughter-in-law, Karen Huth. Dorothy left her family a great legacy of loyalty, gratitude and joy. She lived her life well and she finished well. Her spirit was strong to the end, though her body was perishing daily. She came to faith in Jesus Christ in her sixties and lived out that faith until her death. The family grieves their loss but is comforted and rejoices in the promise that she is now healed and with her Lord. "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 1Corinthians 15:55 NIV The family thanks those who cared for Dorothy at Selkirk Lodge and Victoria General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lion of Judah Church, 6021 West Saanich Road, Victoria BC.
