Edythe 'Joyce' Waller

October 16, 2021 — October 6, 2016

Passed away suddenly on October 6, 2016 at the age of 83 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family: daughter Val, grandson Nathan, 2 brothers: Jim and Terry Forsyth (Marianne Middleton), numerous nieces / nephews and their families, and many lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her son John (2001), grandson Tyson (2009), former spouse Bert (2002), sister Lorna and Gordy Armour, sister-in-law Dodie Forsyth. Joyce moved to Victoria as a child and the family settled on Menzies St in James Bay. Their house was home to many people over the years, most of whom stayed in touch with the family. Joyce has lifelong friends from the James Bay days and was a loyal and lifelong friend to many over the years. She retired from the City of Victoria in 1990 with 25 years service. She spent the first 3 years of retirement enjoying bingo and casino trips. She then became guardian to her grandsons, going on school field trips, and all the activities of young boys.
Friends are invited to a celebration of life to be held on Sunday, October 16 at 2 pm, First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Dr. Condolences and donations may be made from this site.
