Eleanor Dakus

It is with Heavy Hearts that we announce the passing of our 'Beautiful Irish Angel', Eleanor Louise Dakus on Sept.7th, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Eleanor was born on February 22, 1939, in Vermilion, Alberta. She will be greatly missed by her husband Jack of 55 years; Her daughter Lori (Jeff) Ashe; Her son Joe (Rosemary) Dakus; sisters Marie (Dan) Campion; Donna (Don) Fraser; grandchildren Dylan, Sarah, Kody and Cameron, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Eleanor was predeceased by her Father Edward; Mother Alice; and Brothers Edward and Ralph. Eleanor's family would like to extend their "deepest thanks" to Dr. Tracy Mihalynuk; Victoria Hospice and the Cancer Clinic. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 19th, 2012 at 2:00 P.M, at Howard & McBride Westlawn Funeral Chapel on 16310 - Stony Plain Road, in Edmonton, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to The Cancer Clinic or Victoria Hospice.
