Elisabeth Ann Monrad

July 30, 1947 — April 25, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elisabeth Ann Monrad, age 70, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
Liz was born in Aberdeen Scotland on July 30, 1947 to Alice and John Parkinson.  She is survived by her brothers David (Lillian) and Sandy (Valerie); her sister Margaret; her sons Drew, Stephen (Fran), and Eric (Melanie); and her grand-children Caillie, Taylor, Kyle, and Owen.
She embarked on many adventures through her life, including moving from Scotland to Canada at the age of 22 to build her family and establish her career.  She loved time with her family, traveling, and quiet reflection.
Her interest in caring for others as well as getting things done led her to study social sciences. Her formal education concluded with a master's degree in Public Administration. Through her career, she was involved in administration and management related to social work, hospice care, and assisted living facilities.  She retired as a Provincial Director overseeing assisted living facilities in BC.
Liz will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many.
