Elizabeth Anne Astbury

Elizabeth passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospice of Metastatic Breast Cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Kathleen, her sister Gillian, her grandmother Dorothy, her friend Craig, and all her family.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her father Alan Astbury. Elizabeth was born in the Wantage, UK and grew up in Switzerland, France and the UK. In 1983 the family moved to Victoria. After graduating from UVIC she taught in Quesnel and in 2000 began teaching in Vancouver. She was a truly dedicated teacher, who was caring, generous, loving, compassionate, and always encouraged the children to do and be their best.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish you could make a donation to the BC Cancer Agency, Victoria Hospice, or the BCSPCA. A special thank you for looking after Elizabeth to Dr.K.Gelmon, Dr.T.McCal lum, Dr.Feng, Darshan Bains, and the staff at Victoria Hospice and RJH 8th floor.
A celebration gathering will be held in Vancouver and Victoria at a later date.
