"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory that no one can steal." Born on a farm in Saskatchewan to George and Alda May Kreller on March 16, 1921, Ethel passed away on January 29th, 2016 in her 94th year with her daughters by her side. She had a passion for life and enjoyed her large family of thirteen siblings. She went on to marry Leonard Lindsay Carlton, whom she had met at a barn dance when she was only 14, in January 1942 and then settled in Victoria as World War Two was coming to a close. We will remember her as a strong woman of courage, who loved to laugh and have her family around her.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Kreller 92 years, her 2 daughters, Darlene Northwood, and Wendy Carlton, her 4 grandchildren Chris Baker, Aaron Graham, Kyle Northwood and Dayna Northwood.
We would love to thank the warm and loving staff at the Victoria General Hospital for all of the support they gave to us and helping Mom transition from this world to the next, to join her husband Len, who pre deceased her in 1996.
