Francina Murray Mctavish

McTavish, Francina (Fran) Murray, born November 16, 1938 in Glasgow, Scotland. It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Fran on February 25, 2023 at Victoria General. Fran was predeceased by her son Douglas, husband Edward and leaves behind her children Fiona McGeachie (Michael) and Robert, her grandchildren Andrew (Lindsay) Casey, Brenden Casey, Liam McGeachie and Lucas McGeachie.

After growing up in Greenock, Fran moved at the age of 16 to Glasgow to become a nurse. Fran met Eddie while working as a nurse/midwife in Glasgow and was married in 1960. Fran and Eddie emigrated to Canada in 1966 with their young daughter Fiona. In 1973, the family which now included Douglas and Robert, moved from Guelph to Victoria where Fran raised her family and made great friends while being active in tennis, book club and swimming.

At Fran’s request, there will be no service.
