Gary Norman Thorburn

THORBURN, GARY NORMAN Passed away peacefully at home on Feb 7, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and love. Gary was born in Tsawwassen October 15, 1957. He is deeply missed by his loving wife Darlene, children; daughter Jasmine (granddaughter Isabella), son Grant (Heather) and grandson Gavin; daughter L'Oreal (Brent) and grand-daughters Jersie and Lilian; nephew Kristopher (Lindsay); niece Jessica (grand-niece Zoie); sisters Barb Allan, Kathleen Edgar and Margaret Marshall (Ed), Janet Chipman; brothers Ken (Debbie), Robert (Linda) and Mike. Gary's passion for golfing was only rivaled by fishing or working on his trains. Gary was an amazing human, a devoted husband and a loving parent to his children. But we all know and accept that his heart belonged to his adorable grandchildren. He will be most sorely missed by anyone who knew him. Gary was predeceased by his parents (Robert and Laura), sister Estelle nephew Braydon and Draco (man's best friend).
There will be a service for Gary on Saturday February 18, 2017 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #91 - 761 Station Avenue Langford, BC V9B 2S1.
