George Ross Christianson

George Ross Christianson George was born in Victoria on December 22, 1933 to John Reidar and Julia Christianson. He was the youngest son of seven children. He died in Victoria General Hospital on March 28, 2016 of complications from an infection. Dad grew up in James Bay and graduated from Victoria High School. He met and fell in love with Marlene Joan Moody and they married in 1953. They had five children. Dad worked for Northwestern Creamery for many years and later for the Victoria Water District. George and Marlene retired in Langford and later moved to Powell River for several years; they moved back to the island in 2013 settling in Langford again.
George was predeceased by his son Richard in 2013 and Marlene in 2015. He is survived by his daughter Susan Lupton(Geoff Smith) of Victoria BC, Mick Christianson of Langford BC, Chris (Nadine) Christianson of Powell River BC, and Dave Christianson of Mackenzie BC. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister Deanna McMillan of Richmond BC, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. George was an honest man who paid his way. He was loved.
There will be a celebration of his life in the summer.
