Georgette Zeidan

We are sad to announce that Georgette (Gina) Zeidan passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2021 at Glengarry Hospital. Our mother managed to lead her best life possible after a serious stroke in 2011. Although she lost her speech and movement on her right side, our mother was always able to make her wishes known with a laugh or frown and could be very "vocal" in her own unique way.
Gina was born in 1935 in Damascus and immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada in the early 1950s where she married David Haddad and had two daughters, Gladys and Margie (Greg). When that marriage ended, she met and married George Assaf in Montreal and had 3 sons. Joseph, Tom (Annette) and Daniel (Kathleen). Gina also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Sean and Scott in California , Gabrielle in Victoria and one grandchild, Amadi in California. Mother's faith and hope kept her strong before and after her stroke. Our mother was very loved and will be missed. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Glengarry.
