Georgina ‘Gina' Lamberg

GEORGINA (GINA) MARIE LAMBERG (WOOD) 1946 - 2012 Our cherished loved one, Gina, died peacefully on August 23 at 5:30am in the Royal Jubilee Hospice with family at her side, after being lovingly cared for at home by her husband, Pentti, throughout her 3-year battle with blood cancer. She was predeceased by her dad (Doug Wood), mom (Muriel Bailley) and oldest brother (Jack/John Wood), and is survived by her adored husband of 36 years (Pentti), son (Steve), daughter (Lisa), granddaughters (Jenelle, Mercedese, Jasmine, and Dakota), foster children (Carmen, Alisha, and many more too numerous to mention by name), brothers (Cliff, Hugh, and David), nephews and nieces (Seven, Chris, Tanya, Tony, Ted, Tim, Greg, Ryan, Kerri, and Lisa), and other extended family members. Gina is remembered by most through the loving care she and Pentti gave to over 100 foster children over their 36 years as foster parents, and by their faith as Jehovah's Witnesses. She is unforgettable by all whose lives she touched. A memorial service for our dear Gina will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 2:00pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 2780 Shelbourne St. Flowers, which she loved, are gratefully declined by the family. Just bring your memories and a smile! Many thanks from all the family to the medical teams that helped Gina in her battle (most notably Dr. Laing), to the Hospice staff for their invaluable care during her final night, to her spiritual brothers and sisters for their heartfelt encouragement and support, and to her neighbours Zita and Ted for their care and companionship.
