Garry Robertson

Oct 4, 1946 — Sep 23, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Garry Robertson, who passed away just shy of his 80th birthday. Garry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Born in Antler, Saskatchewan October 4, 1946, to Glen and Marjorie Robertson.

Garry was truly a caring and kind man whose gentle nature touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a generous heart and was always ready to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or a warm smile. His love for his family was at the center of his life, and he cherished the time he spent with those he loved.

In his later years, Garry lived with dementia. Although the illness gradually took away many of his memories and abilities, it never took away the love and kindness that defined him.

Garry is lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonnie, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage - a partnership built on love, trust, respect and enduring commitment. Together, they raised two children: Dale Robertson (Suzanne) and Michelle Redlin (Clinton). He was a cherished Poppa to Jordan, Declan and Ariana. He is also survived by his sister Donna Schuler (Ray), Mona Leggett (Jack) and Debbie Saunders (Peter).

Garry worked for Eaton's for 32 1/2 years. After its closing he went on to be a BC Transit Driver for 13 years which he enjoyed very much. Garry excelled in sports in his earlier years especially playing baseball and later kayaking in the summers and curling in the winters. One of his biggest accomplishments on the ice was winning the B event of the Thunderbird bonspiel that he had played in with his son for over fifteen years.

Thank you to all the staff at Luther Court for all their support over the last five years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
