Gloria June La Chance

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria La Chance to cardiac arrest on Dec 10, 2021.

Gloria was born Aug 8, 1943 in Medicine Hat, Alberta.  She lived in England for two years and spent most of her childhood in Victoria, BC.  At age 19, Gloria moved to Toronto where she stayed for fifteen years. She returned to Victoria and worked many years for the Ministry of Health

Gloria is predeceased by her husband and soul mate: Rene La Chance, her daughter: Bonnie Friend and her parents: Connie and Glen McLellan.

She is survived by daughter: Colleen Ashe, son: Bob Friend, 7 grandchildren, siblings: Ian McLellan (Marg), Brent McLellan (Cathy) and Sandra Mazzei as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gloria loved crafts, reading, plants, politics and environmental activism.  She was forever frustrated by human damage to the earth.

Gloria will be remembered for her sense of humor, colorful attitude and loyalty.
