Michael – Gordon Bruce (Gord, Gordo, Gordie)

December 24, 1953-June 29, 2025

It’s with the deepest sorrow and heartache that the good Lord took Gord’s hand to be freely and happily amongst all the other angels.

Gord is survived by his partner Sue, his son Wyat, daughter Lorrie and granddaughter Adira. Also survived by Gord are lots of nieces and nephews, particularly Kyle and Jack and their families. They will all miss their uncle immensely. Also survived by his siblings, Gladys, Pat, Sandra and Paul. Predeceased by Joan, Cliff, Don and Gord’s parents Milt and Barbara. Gord also leaves sadness in his big circle of friends especially long-time school buddy and family friend Bruce Lyal who had taken Gord to his 52nd high school reunion (Vic High) just before Gord’s passing along with another childhood pal. Leona the mother of his children is also survived by Gord.

Gord travelled the world and visited over 50 countries during his lifetime. He particularly had a love for Costa Rica where he went 4 times in one year.

Gord was a master salesman with exemplary sales skills which helped business soar in many car lots he proudly owned in Victoria. Gord was also owned an antique shop, was an auctioneer, flipped houses after renovating them, scuba dived for abalone and at one point he proudly represented Canada as a civilian photographer for the Canadian military.

Gord dealt with many trails and tribulations throughout his wonderful life but always bounced back successfully due to his love and zest for life attitude. He enjoyed making money and had such dedication and power to do so. Gord had a no-nonsense approach to living his life. His kind heart, “gift of the gab”, humour like no other, sweet gentle nature will live on in our hearts.

He exuded confidence, was often spoken highly of, and always presented himself as an approachable, stylish, well mannered human being who never lost his “groove”, his insight, his coolness and just great legend who will be missed severely and never forgotten.

A service will be held on Saturday Sept 6, 2025 at 2p.m. at Connections Salvation Army on Goldstream in Langford.
