Gregory "Greg" Alwin Cornell

It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gregory Alwin Cornell. Beloved husband to Tammy, son to Agnes, brother to Anthony and Yvonne (Bob), uncle to Erin and Megan, stepfather to Shaye, Conner and Alex. Son in law to Georgina, Brother in law, nephew and cousin. Greg was predeceased by his father Alwin, stepmother Gisele and sister Carolyn.

Greg was well loved by a large community of friends and acquaintances. Considerate, generous and compassionate, he Would give anyone his last dollar.

We would like to thank the ICU Team at the Royal Jubilee for giving us these last 7 months with Greg. Time for walks with Tammy, laughs, hugs and most of all allowing all of us to share “I love you’s” with Greg.

Greg will best be remembered for his love of music, camping, fishing and laughter.

Greg was proud of his accomplishments with Food Services at UVIC and made many friends during his time there. We would like to acknowledge all his Union CUPE 917 colleagues.

Mass for the Intentions of Greg will be held Monday August 17th 1:00pm at Our Lady of the Assumption. 7742 West Saanich Road, Saanichton BC. 

Celebration of life to be held Friday August 14th, 6-10pm at Trafalgar Pro Patria Legion #292. Located at 411 Gorge Road East, Victoria BC.
