She leaves behind her sons and their wives. Bruce (Nancy), Ray (Kathy), Tom (Sheral) She leaves behind many other relatives, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Hilda was born in Newestminster, BC, She grew up on the farm in Ladner BC. She worked hard on the family farm and took many jobs when she was young including working in the cannery. She married and lived across Canada and England eventually landing in Winnipeg before making her decision to move to Victoria. Most of her years in Victoria were spent in Esquimalt where she joined many groups, bowling, singing and playing cards. In Victoria Hilda was a valued employee of Eaton's as a Personal Shopper and at Miss Firth's altering wedding gowns. In her 70's she managed an apartment building in Esquimalt. She loved to sew and knit. She was independent and lived a long life. She enjoyed her family and friends.
Friends are invited to a celebration of life to be held on October 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Church of St Peter St Paul Hall, 1379 Esquimalt Rd. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA Animal Shelter.
