Hisako Shinkoda

Shindoda, Hisako (nee Shin) - Peacefully passed away June 2, 2021 at Mount Saint Mary Hospital in Victoria BC. Born August 10,1918 at Britannia Beach BC She will be dearly missed by her children Austin, and Judy (Gilles), grandchildren Martine (Patrick), and Bert (Jill), great grandchildren Caitlyn, and Josh. Loving parents Zentaro and Yeda. Sister to Ritsu (Wye), Kaz (Joyce), Mas (Rose), Roy (Kay), Ross (Nancy), Joe (Rei), Yosh (Terry), Gene and Minako (Robert ). She was determined, steadfast, excelling in all she did, loved life, her family, people, learning, music, bridge, and travelling.
She fulfilled her childhood dream by finally attending university and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto by the time she was 80.
She was a remarkable lady and lived life with a twinkle in her eye and a beautiful smile.
We will love her forever…
