Holly Anne Sansom

Hello friends and family.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Holly Sansom.

SANSOM, Holly Anne (January 16, 1968 – June 4, 2026)

Born at Grace Maternity Hospital Halifax NS. Holly died in Victoria, British Columbia at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.

Diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in 2020, initially given 6 to 18 months, Holly beat the odds for 6 years filled with the career she loved and adventures with her sons.

Holly will be sorely missed by her mother Anne M. Crossman and step-father William (Bill) H. Crossman, her sons Dustin Mercredi and Bradley Mercredi , granddaughter Serenity Mercredi, sister Krista V. Sansom, and niece Erin Moore. She was predeceased by father John H. Sansom, brothers David and Keith Sansom and eldest niece Jennifer Weaver.

Holly was one of those bright smiling people. She enjoyed a few careers: local government, non-profit societies, and permaculture design before returning to real estate, a career she truly loved.

Holly loved to travel, exploring locally on her beloved Vancouver Island and abroad. She realized her bucket list item of driving across Canada coast to coast visiting friends and family with her son’s post diagnosis.

Holly’s eldest son, Dustin, was by her side night and day in the last months helping her with daily living and navigating all the associated medical needs. Brad was recently able to be there as well.

Life is fleeting, enjoy it while you can, Holly would say.
