Isabelle "Bala" Crouan-Best passed away September 17, 2015 of cancer. She is suvived by her frail father, stepmother, mother, sister, two nieces and their families. Isabelle had passion for ballet. She attended some of the most prestigious ballet schools in Canada on scholarships. She played the piano and guitar and liked to sing. She wrote poetry- some of which was published in the James Bay Beacon newspaper. Her sense of humour was awesome. It could run from childlike, to tart, to ribald and she loved to laugh! (loudly!). Her reading interests varied widely. She was (as her mother says) "a whimsical person." We walked by many gardens in James Bay - admiring every one. Isabelle will be missed by both family and friends, including me- Yvonne, her friend of 20 years. Rest in Peace Isabelle. Thank you to Dr. Caroll, the physicians, nurses, social workers and all the staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital for their tender care, the Pharmsave staff, all the mental health care professionals and staff, as well as all the volunteer groups for their assistance.
