Jacques Slik

On August 27, 2013 at the age of 63, Jacques Slik passed peacefully from this world following a strong and stoic fight. He spent his whole life taking inspiration from everyone he met, enjoying the differences and similarities equally. He was always grateful for each person he met including family, friends, association and club members and medical and support staff. Jac was a true educator who taught in Bella Coola, Castlegar, Spence Bay and Squamish. The family would like to send special thanks to the dialysis staff of the Royal Jubilee Hospital who were so caring over the last few years Born in Bussum, Netherlands on Feb. 19 1950, Jac was predeceased by his father Martin and survived by his wife and best friend Theresa, Mother Janna, Brother Ed, Children David (Laura & Jocelyn) and Natasha (Ted & Tazio) many family and friends .
