Mar 27, 1951 - July 17, 2012 James passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC were he lost the fight to lung cancer. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario. He was raised and spent his youth in Wells, BC, where he became an elite downhill ski jumper winning numerous trophies. He completed school as a Machinist and worked for British Columbia Forest Products in Victoria for many years. James was one of five children born to Wilbur and Sigrid of Saskatchewan. He leaves two surviving sisters Carol and Holly. He is predeceased by one sister Laura and one brother John, two sons, Aaron Jickling and Clinton Edward Stanley. He leaves to forever cherish his memory his son Darryl James (Julia) and three grandchildren Gavin, Nicholas and Chloe. James battled many health issues over many years, although he still had a love for the outdoors fishing and hunting, which he did most often. He leaves behind many friends. A special thanks to the staff of Camas Gardens and long time friend Catherine Berg. A memorial will be held at Camas Gardens at a date to be announced, please check back at this site.
