Jane Brooks

Jane Brooks, 92, of Victoria, BC, passed away on May 19, 2023. Jane was born on September 13, 1930, in Ingersoll, Ontario, where she lived for most of her life, before relocating to Victoria in 2014.

Jane enjoyed her career as a school secretary at Princess Anne and Westfield Elementary Schools in Ingersoll until her retirement at age 60. She was a dedicated employee who was respected by her colleagues and loved by the children she served.

Jane was an avid traveler who enjoyed exploring new places with her husband Martin. They traveled all over North America in their camper van and went on 40 cruises all over the world. One year, they even managed to go on three cruises. Jane loved the adventure and excitement of traveling, and she cherished the memories she made with her husband.

Jane is survived by her daughter Jo (JO), sons Steve (Leslie) and Vic, and sister Kathy (Doug). She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Andrea and Matt and great-grandchildren Viola and Levon. Jane was preceded in death by her daughter Marta in 1978 and her husband Martin in 2010.

At Jane's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in her memory.
