Jane Elizabeth Profitt

Jane Elizabeth Profitt, aged 77, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026 in Victoria, British Columbia.

Jane was a loving wife to Stuart Alderson and a constant source of love to her family, who meant everything to her. She took great joy in being an aunt and great-aunt and shared a special bond with each of them. Jane will be dearly missed by her sister, Mary-Anne Pearson, and her brother, Bill Chisholm (Grace). She was adored by her niece, Shari Hrycenko; her nephew, Todd Hrycenko (Julie); and her cherished great-nieces and great-nephew, the triplets Alyssa, Brandon, and Krista Hrycenko. She also held a very special place in her heart for her nephew Clayton Chisholm (Lynn) and great-nephews Travis and Curtis.

Jane was great involved with the Victoria Lawn Bowling Club on Burnside Road where she cherished her friends and enjoyed countless hours of laughter. She loved bingo and the joy it brought her. Jane was the cook at the Victoria Curling Club for over 34 years and shared her warmth, kindness and sense of humour with everyone she met there. Jane’s caring spirit and dedication to her friends and community made her a beloved presence.

Her love, laughter, and generous heart will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched.

There will be no service held at this time but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
