Jennifer Ann Marion Rischmiller was born on April 11, 1942 in Weston-Super-Mare, County of Somerset, United Kingdom. She was the beloved wife of Jim, and the loving mother of Eve and Ivan.
Jennifer was a woman of humility, compassion, wisdom, and tenacity. She was a passionate conversationalist, and her exuberant curiosity was contagious. She was passionate about our environment and was involved with Project Recycle, the Sierra Club, and the Greater Victoria Environmental Center.
Jennifer was also passionate about yoga and its teachings, and was involved with the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Victoria. She was a loving wife and mother, and was always there for her family.
Jennifer passed away peacefully in her home the morning of December 14, 2023 at 5:44am PST. Ivan was with her as she left this world. She was comfortable and did not suffer in her journey. Her support care team was tender and caring while they helped her through her journey.
Jennifer and Ivan were able to share a beautiful sunrise through her window the morning of December 13th, and she smiled at the wonderful colours. Her family was near, and her grandkids and her beloved friend were able to spend some time with her while she was travelling towards the light. She knew they were there helping her and sharing their love for her.
Jennifer was the most wonderful person, and We will all miss her very much. Her atoms will forever shine brightly in our hearts and across the universe.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at the HCP Gardens in Saanich. Details to be posted.

Our desire is to Remember Jennifer and James in a setting that allows us individually and together to share some memories and thoughts about Jennifer and Jim in a lovely garden space that all of them had visited and enjoyed regularly over the years.
There will be light refreshments with plenty of treats in keeping with the giant Rischmiller Sweet Tooth, as well as an inside space to Gather… There is also opportunity for those that wish to share some words and memories with friends and family.
In case you were curious, in lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in memory of Jennifer and James. However, your thoughts and memories of these wonderful humans is all you need to bring if you choose and are able to attend
