Joan Winchell

Joan Winchell, 77, of Brentwood Bay, BC, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 in Saanich Peninsula Hospital, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Joan was such a regal lady, so graceful, strong, confident and inspiring. She touched many people's lives in such a positive manner. She has left a lasting legacy with her wisdom and caring for others. Joan is survived by her husband Jim, their four daughters and their families. Her family would like to thank the staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital for their care of Joan during her final days, Many thanks to Dr. E. Brooks and the staff of the BC Cancer Clinic, the staff at Peninsula Community Health Services and her GP Dr. H. Braebrook. The family extends a heartfelt Thank You to the many friends and extended family for all the love and support over the last little while. The family hopes to celebrate Joan's life this summer when gatherings are permitted. In our hearts you will always stay. Always loved, forever missed and never forgotten. Joan has gone to heaven to be with her lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
