John Varao

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Joao Varao moved to Canada in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Maria. His 5 children Ana (Ryan), Helena (Pete), John, Nelia (Phil), Sonia (Lars). His 10 ( soon to be 11 ) grandchildren, Emma, Ryana, Ethan, Ashley, Carli, Peytein, Aleesha, Nathan,Isabelle, Savanna and Ida. His 2 great grandchildren Ava and Lexi. Joao's passions in life included not only his family, but his garden, grapes, winemaking and he enjoyed watching Futebol ( especially his beloved Benfica ) on tv and the computer on the weekends. Joao touched many lives and will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
